Due to record high energy consumption, Ukraine is forced to ask for urgent assistance from Romania and Poland for the second day in a row. This was reported by the Telegram channel of the national energy company Ukrenergo.
“In order to avoid outages and maintain balance in the energy system, Ukrenergo’s control center was forced today to receive urgent assistance from the operators of the electricity transmission system of Romania and Poland (…) with a capacity of 400. MW,” the company said in a statement.
According to Ukrenergo, on December 7, the Ukrainian energy system experienced record electricity consumption in the current heating season. On December 8, the load on the networks did not decrease.
