A Canadian military aircraft CF-18 (F-18) canceled a demonstration flight at the Wild Wednesday show in Ypsilanti, Michigan, near Detroit, due to a weather event. This has been reported Vancouver Island.
According to preliminary data, a bird got into the hunter’s engine because, according to Major Trevor Reed, representative of the 1st Canadian Air Division, the pilot “experienced something that, according to the safety checklist, forced him to return to the airport.”
The aircraft is now being examined by technicians. Reed added that in the event of a serious malfunction, the performance of the aerobatic pilot will continue on the backup aircraft.
Formerly Canadian Ministry of Defense accused Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) pilots display dangerous behavior against the CP-140 Aurora patrol aircraft, which is on an observation flight around North Korea as part of Operation NEON.
In some cases, crews felt so threatened that they had to drastically change their flight path to increase distance and avoid a possible collision with the interfering aircraft.
The Canadian military emphasizes that the behavior of the Chinese pilots was carefully documented and they were clearly visible during the approach.
