Germany’s ruling traffic light coalition has agreed to double military aid to Ukraine to 8 billion euros in 2024, the news agency reported. Bloomberg.

According to the news agency, citing sources in the German government, “Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s ruling coalition has agreed to double German military aid to Ukraine to eight billion euros in 2024.”

The decision to increase funding now needs to be approved by the Budget Committee of the Bundestag. Germany’s purchase plans include F-35 fighter jets, the Israeli Arrow missile defense system and American Chinook helicopters. Moreover, despite Germany’s advanced military industry, most of the purchases will be foreign.

Johnson’s proposed bill does not include financing proposals for either Ukraine or Israel.
