In the Lipetsk region, deputies of the regional Council fivefold increased the amount of lump sum payments to participants of the Northern Military District who have contracts with the Ministry of Defense. This was reported by press service Lipetsk Regional Council of Representatives.
Starting from November 1, 2023, participants in the Special Military Operation in the Lipetsk region will receive 250 thousand rubles at a time from the local budget, not 50 as before. The changes were initiated by Governor Igor Artamonov.
The bill was adopted unanimously at the 32nd extraordinary session of the regional council on 10 November.
“The parliamentary seat has shown real consolidation in terms of voting. This shows that the interests and security of the Motherland are an absolute priority for everyone, regardless of factional affiliation,” said Vladimir Serikov, Chairman of the Lipetsk Regional Council of Representatives.
At the same time, lawmakers also removed a pre-existing condition that allowed only residents to receive payments. Now military personnel from the Lipetsk region who are selected to join the SVO but are not registered will receive payments on an equal basis with others. There are about 90 contract soldiers of this type.
On November 9, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in the name The Ministry of Defense oversees regular payments to the military.
