A local resident was detained in LPR for spying on behalf of Ukraine 09:56

In the Lugansk People’s Republic, employees of the Federal Security Service detained a local resident for transferring information about the Russian Armed Forces to Ukraine. This was reported by RIA News Referring to the FSB department of the region.

It was noted that the man was a Ukrainian citizen. A criminal case was opened against him under Article 276 of the Russian Criminal Code “Espionage”. He is currently being held in custody.

According to the FSB of the Russian Federation, a native of the city of Rubezhnoye, with the aim of assisting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, collected and transmitted information on the location and movement of units of the LPR and people’s militia of the Russian Armed Forces.

A criminal case was opened against the man for treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for transferring information to the Ukrainian special services about objects and the situation in the Republic of Crimea.
