Two sections of the freight train derailed on the 1069th kilometer of the Baikal-Amur Main Line in Northern Buryatia. This was reported by RIA News With reference to the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergencies.
“At 05.07 (00.07 Moscow time) a message was received from the VSZD shift supervisor that two sections of the freight train locomotive were going down,” the ministry said.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations said that the incident occurred on the 1069th kilometer of BAM between the village of Nizhneangarsk and the city of Severobaikalsk. Rescue teams emphasized that no one was injured as a result of the incident. There were no delays in passenger trains due to the incident.
