Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the LDPR party have prepared a bill proposing to establish a four-day working week for parents with three or more children. It was reported on the newspaper’s website “News”.
According to Leonid Slutsky, the leader of the LDPR fraction, this bill will be submitted to the government of the Russian Federation on August 10 for finalization.
The deputy emphasized that for parents raising three or more children, the presence of additional free time from work is an opportunity to take care of each child, his upbringing and health.
The explanatory note of the bill states that such an innovation could lead to an improvement in the demographic situation in the country. For large families working four days a week, it is also recommended to keep the same salary as those working five days a week.
Before that, the head of the Russian Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov declarationthat there is no need to implement a four-day work week in the country.
According to him, current legislation allows employers to organize a flexible work schedule for their employees and combine remote work with office work.
