At the Borodino site in the Moscow region, the final tests of Zarnitsa 2.0, where participants competed in controlling drones and resisting information attacks, have been completed, the press service of First Movement reported.
The final of the game was held on the territory of the Borodino Field Museum-Reserve. The success of the teams was appreciated by the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko, the Chairman of the Board of the First Movement, Grigory Gurov, the Head of the People’s Front Youth Vladimir Taranenko and the General Director of the Russian Knowledge Association Maxim Dreval.
“The renewed Zarnitsa is, first of all, a high technological level, a real preparation for using modern equipment. Most importantly, it instills a sense of teamwork that requires courage and endurance, patriotism, and demonstrates the continuity of the best traditions.”
In the Moscow region, the game took place over two days. Arriving in Borodino, participants began to equip their base camp. The men were divided into four teams, named by color: red, blue, green, orange.
After creating the perimeter and securing the camp, the participants successfully completed the missions to acquire the necessary equipment, including communications equipment and a drone for reconnaissance.
The second day started with combat missions. In the early hours of the morning, the teams completed the first mission when the laser tag group attacked the camp of the imaginary enemy. The teams then left the main camps and proceeded along the route, crossing the water barriers. On the way, the participants of Zarnitsa 2.0 had to lay an ambush to identify the hidden enemy. To complete the tasks required the application of modern intelligence skills, including the control of a helicopter and the use of electronic warfare methods.
Recall that 125 boys and girls aged 15 to 16 from Tver, Belgorod, Moscow regions and the city of Moscow participated in the starting game. The observance of order and safety during the game was provided by 40 specially trained trainers and 40 game technicians.
The organizers of the event are the “First Movement”, the Russian society “Knowledge”, the Center for Military Sports Education and Patriotic Education of Youth “VOIN” and the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps.
