The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU), General Valeriy Zaluzhny, said that he could not fight Russia on his own terms. He said this in an interview with the newspaper. Washington post (WP).

He said Western allies providing aid to Ukraine made it a requirement not to use long-range missiles and other munitions for attacks on Russian soil. Zaluchny was angry at this. He said the Ukrainian military often used local weapons to attack Russian territory that Kiev still considered to be its own.

Zaluzhny asked: “Why would I ask someone’s permission to do what on enemy territory to save my people?”
