State Duma debated which families could be considered large families 11:10

Tatyana Butskaya, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children, in an interview with socialbites.ca, did not support the idea of Vladislav Davankov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, to recognize families with two children as many children. According to Butskaya, the status of a large family means “turning points,” so such a decision would lead to an even faster decline in demographics.

“For several years now, everything related to a large family has been studied closely in our regional practice to assess the answer to the question of what is an extended family. We have regions where six or seven children are a large family. There were one or two districts where a family with two children was considered large. But mostly there are three children. When promoting the status of an extended family, we must set rules. It’s not about support measures, although there will be support measures in it, you can’t just give and support a status, but it’s about guidelines. And if we say in our guidelines that having many children means two, and if, as we know, the folk proverb says, “Ask for more and you will get what you want,” then we won’t have two children, we’ll have one in the family. . This means our demographic will start to decline twice as fast. So of course there are three. This is exactly the number that both the president and the government are talking about, exactly the number we are aiming for as a benchmark,” he said.

According to Butskaya, the regions provide insufficient financial assistance to families with many children. The MP also noted that “every child is important to the country,” authorities should support families with one or two children.

“As for support measures, I agree that two, one, three, four and five children should be helped. Now, our demographic situation is such that every child born is important to us. I would consider supporting third children at the regional level. Third, fourth, etc. Since we have help, in theory the children should fall on the shoulders of the regions because they are not so much. Of course, the birth of every such child should be supported. Unfortunately, the regions heard how they heard it. For the third child, they still give part of the regional support measures, but as often happens, the fourth, fifth, sixth child was born and you do not have serious support, this is not expressed in tens of thousands of rubles, but in the hundreds. We understand that we have to feed the previous five, and then another one is born. Therefore, these families definitely need special support, including financial support, and we need to pay special attention to them here.”

Butskaya added that studies have shown that families with four or more children “go beyond the measure of happiness” and that society’s idea of having many children does not match what such parents actually feel.

“Interesting information was provided by the ANO National Priorities. They showed that in families with four children, the level of happiness increased incredibly. So, with one, two, three – no, but starting with the fourth – just happiness. When they start having in-depth interviews and ask those who don’t yet have children what they think, if there are three or four children, then what? Everyone says it’s hard, it’s hard, and the woman is tired. And when they start meeting with family members who have four or more children, they say that they are happy, that they have time for everything, that they realize it. So our idea of having many children doesn’t quite match what families with many children, parents and children in extended families actually feel. Therefore, large families are of course three or more, ”she concluded.

On Thursday, it became known that Vladislav Davankov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma from the “New People” party. He insisted Grant “grand” status to all Russian families with two or more children. According to the parliamentarian, there is a shortage of families with three or more children in Russia, because many parents do not want a third child due to financial difficulties.

Former Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed The government will consider increasing the maximum mortgage amount for families with three or more children.
