Men often see love as the key to female happiness, and women themselves think well of well-being. At the same time, career in the eyes of the modern woman is almost as important as motherhood. This was demonstrated in the SuperJob survey, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.

According to men, love above all makes a woman happy – 57% of respondents believe it. Every second (52%) sees the family as the main component of women’s happiness, 41% motherhood, 40% well-being. Without sex, 23% of men do not consider female happiness possible, without an attractive appearance – 16%, marriage – 15%. One in eight (12%) value freedom for women, one in nine (11%) – career, every tenth one (10%) – trusts creativity and 6% – friendship.

Women’s ideas of what they need to be happy differ significantly from men’s. First, representatives of the fair sex put wealth (59%), second – love (57%), third – family (53%). Motherhood and career are almost equally important: Named a key component of happiness by 35% and 33% of women, respectively. Freedom is important for 30%, creativity (25%), attractive appearance 18%, friendship 14%. Gender and marriage were cited as major components of happiness by only 10% and 7% of women, respectively.

Career, freedom, friendship and creativity are mostly referred to as important components of women’s happiness by the participants under 34 years old, and motherhood and marriage by the older generation. The higher the income of the respondents, the more important love is for them.

Compared to 2010, both men and women are less likely to view marriage, motherhood, family, appearance, love and sexual satisfaction as keys to women’s happiness. On the contrary, the importance of friendship, freedom and creativity has increased in the eyes of both sexes. Women are more likely to point to wealth as an important aspect of happiness.
