Smith said this while speaking at a hearing on the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee, whose candidacy for the post of commander must be confirmed.
According to the general, the SVO has shown, among other things, that in the last 15-20 years, due to new technologies, some means of observation and reconnaissance have become accessible to almost everyone. With all this, Smith noted that mobility, invisibility and long-range firepower are still key.
