The head of Yakutia said that in the first quarter of this year more children were born in the region than in the first quarter of last year. The death rate is also falling and there is a natural increase in population. People do not leave Yakutia, but rather come to the republic.

Nikolaev described generally good demographic indicators in Yakutia. Therefore, he is almost certainly sure that the population of the republic will exceed one million.

The head of Yakutia noted that the state policy of supporting families and childhood in the region will continue.
