Lyudmila Tsvetkova, a documentary film director, actress and member of the Russian Union of Cinematographers (SK), has died at the age of 80. This is reported on the organization’s website.

In 1967, Tsvetkova graduated from the MS Shchepkin Theater School. She started her film career as an actress. The woman starred in more than 40 films throughout her career, including directors Eldar Ryazanov, Pyotr Todorovsky and Marlen Khutsiev.
In 1996, Tsvetkova began shooting films on her own as a director. During her career, she managed to release more than 20 works in the genre of documentary films, including “The True Gift”, “Brykin Bor”, “Beauty Lives Here” and others. Also, the director shot a series of films about the war heroes and labor of the Great Patriotic War “Witnesses of the Era”.
In 2022, the producer became a member of the Art Council of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the Department of Cinematography.
In addition, the director was awarded the Order of Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation, the Order of Honor “For his contribution to the cause of friendship” by the Roszarubezhcenter of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and the commemorative medal “Patriotic Patriot”.
