Tourist Assistance director Osaulenko believes Russians will go to China by mid-year
Alexander Osaulenko, director of the Association of Tour Operators for Outbound Tourism “Turpomoshch”, believes that Russian tourists will be able to fly to China by the middle of this year. He mentioned such a period in an interview with Interfax.
According to Osaulenko, the next step after the lifting of the covid restrictions could be the resumption of the international tourist flow. At the same time, the expert predicted that by the middle of the year, Chinese tourists will also likely have the opportunity to travel to Russia.
“We see a fairly serious activation of our colleagues in the tourism sector. Now platforms are being formed where, on the eve of the opening of international tourism communications, the goals and objectives that will be set for this year will be discussed in order to fully restore tourist flows as soon as possible,” added the director of Turpomoshch .
It was previously reported that Russia will resume flights with the two countries from March 14. Flights to China are scheduled to resume from Monday on the Moscow-Beijing, Moscow-Guangzhou and Moscow-Shanghai routes, which will operate once a week. It is also expected to restore flights with Indonesia at a frequency of three flights per week from Moscow to Denpasar.
