The Voronezh region will allocate 550 million rubles for the development of culture in the region

The authorities of the Voronezh region plan to allocate about 550 million rubles in 2022 for the development of culture in the region. On Wednesday March 23, Interfax reported with reference to the press center of the regional government.

The allocated funds will be spent in particular on the restoration of museums and cultural heritage.

“The restoration of cultural heritage, such as the Oldenburg Palace complex, continues. As well as the object of cultural heritage of federal significance “Gardenin’s House”. Now there is practically nothing. We plan to restore and place exhibits dedicated to Peter the Great there,” said Alexander Gusev, governor of the Voronezh region.

In addition, it is planned to restore the cultural heritage of regional significance “The Governor’s House” and to reconstruct the building of the local Archaeological Museum-Reserve “Kostenki”. Construction of the production and rehearsal building of the Opera and Ballet Theater will also start.
