HBO Max’s ‘Sex and the City’ Sequel Renewed for a Second Season
The sequel to Sex and the City has been renewed for a second season. Writes about it Deadline.
The management of streaming service HBO Max made this decision because of the success of the sequel. So last year’s premiere of the project “And just like that” became the most watched of the platform’s original shows.
The original series aired on HBO from 1998 to 2004. A total of 94 episodes were filmed. The script is based on Candace Bushnell’s book of the same name. Released in 2021, Just Like That is about the friendship and romantic lives of three New Yorkers. Actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon return to their roles in And Just Like That. Kim Cattrall, who played the fourth main character in Sex and the City, did not appear on the show.
