On April 10, an unidentified person beat a bishop of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. This is stated on UOC’s Telegram channel.
It is stated that there are facts indicating that the attack was most likely intentional.
“Near the Chernivtsi diocese, an unidentified assailant beaten Nikita, Bishop of Ivano-Frankivsk, and the younger son of a soldier from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, whose brother and father are now on the front lines,” the publication says.
According to the information obtained, the police who came to the scene did not arrest the attacker.
The Union of Orthodox Journalists published images on its Telegram channel, showing that the attacker dealt several blows to the bishop and his entourage, and then the bishop fell to the ground. Upon the words that the police would be called, the attacker reacted, “C’mon call”.
In the city of Kamenetz-Podolsky, formerly located in the Khmelnytsky district of Ukraine, started Martyrs Vera, Nadezhda, Lyubov and their mother Sophia, belonging to the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), raided the church.
