According to the agency, thousands of homes and buildings were completely or partially destroyed as a result of the natural disaster. Local authorities reported victims and 15,000 citizens without electricity.
Local emergency services say there were no casualties or serious injuries as a result of the disaster, despite the severity of the destruction.
