In Tyumen, law enforcement detained two telephone scammers who tried to steal 970 thousand rubles from a Russian woman. This was reported by Telegram channel Basis.
According to the source, a local resident contacted the police. The woman said she received phone calls from unidentified people who said her relative had had an accident. The scammers asked the Russian woman to give them almost a million rubles to help her avoid criminal liability.
But the Tyumen woman did not lose her head and reported the search to law enforcement. Armed police were already waiting for them when the three swindlers arrived to take the money. One criminal was immediately arrested, two escaped.
The second swindler was shot and detained: after the attack, the police had to shoot him twice in the back with a traumatic pistol. Law enforcement is now locating the third perpetrator.
