The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine issued a statement refuting its own claim that Russian forces left Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson region. The statement was published on the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian military department.
“Information about the alleged withdrawal of the enemy from this settlement was made public due to the misuse of available data,” the report says.
The agency states that Russian troops are in the village.
Earlier that day, the General Staff reported that as of March 22, all units of the Russian army stationed in Nova Kakhovka had left the city. In addition, the ministry said that while withdrawing, the Russian army “confiscated a large amount of households and electronics, jewelry, clothing and mobile phones belonging to the civilian population”.
Information about the withdrawal of Russian forces from the settlement was denied by the acting governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, and the head of the Novokakhovskaya city administration, Vladimir Leontiev.
With idea The balance is due to the spread of false information by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the Kherson region “created a weak PR effect”.
