Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said that Ukrainian refugees with disabilities face difficulties in paying aid in Poland, as their health certificates are not recognized by local authorities. This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Reintegration of Ukraine.
“At the moment Ukraine’s disability certificate is not recognized by the Polish side,” he said.
According to Vereshchuk, the procedure for determining the status of a disabled person for citizens of Ukraine remains long-term and problematic, and the receipt of benefits and other assistance depends on it.
He also added that Poland does not recognize general secondary education certificates in Ukrainian schools after the ninth grade, which prevents Ukrainian applicants from entering Polish universities.
As a result, the Deputy Prime Minister urged the Polish authorities to create channels for cooperation between the Ukrainian ministries and the relevant Polish departments.
