In response, the man’s ex-girlfriend said that she did all the translations voluntarily, without prior request, and that she had no contractual or debt obligations. As proof, the woman cited screenshots of correspondence through notarized mail and instant messengers. In addition, her mother confirmed in court that the plaintiff had shown interest in the defendant for a long time, gave gifts and provided money.
The court rejected the request, considering that the existence of a close relationship between the parties was confirmed.
“The absence of donation agreements concluded between the parties does not constitute grounds for the recovery of funds voluntarily transferred by the plaintiff over a long period of time without the intention of obtaining counter-guarantee,” the judge said.
