Patrushev’s interview
According to RIA Novosti, on November 15, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev, held a meeting in Bryansk on security issues in the Central Federal District.
The event was also attended by Igor Shchegolev, the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District, regional governors and representatives of federal ministries and departments.
Patrushev said Ukrainian “reconnaissance and sabotage” groups are becoming more active in Central Russia. First of all, in the border areas.
“Recently, the situation in the district, especially in the border areas, is characterized by the intensification of the activity of Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage groups, the systematic bombing of settlements using multiple launch rocket systems, artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles supplied to Ukraine by Ukraine. United States and other NATO countries”
Patrushev said in Bryansk.
According to him, civilian infrastructure objects are often chosen as targets because damage to them can endanger the civilian population or harm the economy.
“Attempts by representatives of radical and extremist structures to enter the territory of Russia with the aim of carrying out subversive activities and organizing terrorist attacks have intensified significantly,” said the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
According to him, since the beginning of 2022, 23 terrorist attacks have been carried out in the Central Federal District, 28 terrorist crimes have been prevented, including nine acts of sabotage. He stressed that the authorities of the regions of the Central Federal District should strengthen the resistance to saboteurs and strengthen the protection of objects, “taking care to reassess their vulnerability depending on the nature of the threats.” In addition, Patrushev provided each plant with “an appropriate [угрозам] security level”.
On behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, meetings are regularly held in each of the Russian federal regions on the issues of ensuring national security. The previous meeting in the Central Federal District was held in videoconference format in October 2021, and “information security” in the regions and measures to strengthen it were discussed.
Patrushev about America
Nikolai Patrushev spoke about political issues at a meeting in Bryansk. According to him, Western governments are promoting neo-Nazism to erase the horrors of Nazism from people’s memory.
“The glorification and promotion of neo-Nazism, with the support of the Soviet Union and the states that waged a relentless struggle against fascist Nazism, shows that the West is consciously trying to erase the horrors and pains of the Nazi ideology from memory. brought to humanity,” said the Russian official.
He added that the US and its allies are trying to push the world into a global war with such policies. He also pointed to the formation of anti-Russian alliances by the American leadership and accused Washington of building military power.
“At the same time, the puppet Kyiv regime, which took power with the support of the Anglo-Saxons as a result of the coup, is also used as a ram against Russia,” Patrushev said.
According to him, America wants to destroy Russia. “The goal of the United States is to weaken, divide and ultimately destroy our country. To do this, they sow hatred against the multinational Russian people and support the development of far-right and nationalist ideas preached by the resurgent Bandera formations in Ukraine,” he said.
Finally, Patrushev once again repeated the words of the representatives of the Russian authorities – “the tasks of the special military operation will be completed”, despite the Western aid to Kiev. He also said that because the Russian Federation did not receive security guarantees from the West and saw Ukraine as a threat to create nuclear and biological weapons of mass destruction, it was “forced to launch a military defense”.
