Researchers of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have taken an important step to accelerate quantum calculations. They developed a unique scheme in which a record relationship was obtained between photons (light particles) and artificial atoms, which are the main elements of quantum computers. Published in İş Magazine Nature Communications (Natcom).
The quantum computers of the future will be able to simulate new materials, improve machine learning algorithms, and solve unreachable problems of ordinary machines. However, in order to make such opportunities a reality, quantum operations should be carried out extremely quickly – otherwise errors accumulate and reduce the accuracy of the results.
The team, led by Jufen Bright E, created a special quantum connector – Quarton Couples. This is a super conductive element that increases the interaction between quantum lice (cubes) and light. In the new architecture, communication power was about 10 times higher than previous experiments. Such an increase may mean that quantum operations, including reading information, can be performed in several nanosania.
“Usually the measurements between the error correction stages take a lot of time. Our development can eliminate this problem and bring us closer to the age of really stable quantum calculations” E.
The device combines two superconductors and other “artificial atoms ında on the chip, one of which plays the role of“ resonator ”. There is a photon change between them – microwave light particles have quantum knowledge.
The results also showed a registration link between the two cubes – this is important to perform logical operations on a quantum computer.
Although the work is still basic, it opens expectations to create ultra -fast reading and processing information. This is particularly important, because the faster the calculation passes, the faster the calculation passes, the more processes can be done before the destruction of the quantum state.
