The Fair Finance Platform met in Alicante this Friday to formally convene before the Sub-Delegation of the Government on the 18th to demand increased investment in the General Budget for the province of Alicante. The platform met at the San Fernando Building of the University of Alicante, where Salvador Navarro, president of the Valencian Community Business Confederation (CEV), was present; Ana GarcÃa and Ismael Sáez, general secretaries of CC OO-PV and UGT-PV, respectively; PSPV Organizing Secretary José Muñoz; Toni Pérez, provincial head of the PP; Àgueda Miró, co-spokesperson of CompomÃs; EstefanÃa Blanes, deputy of Alicante, from Unides Podem-Esquerra Unida; and Yaneth Giraldo, assistant to Alicante de Ciudadanos.
CEV chief Salvador Navarro stressed that while there is demand for fair funding for the Valencian Community, the “significant part” of the mobilization will be the budgetary damage Alicante suffers.
The parties expressed their views from their own perspective. Confidence that the changes introduced in the budgets serve to correct the investment gap. In this sense, PSOE, CompromÃs and United We Can recalled the agreement reached to propose a joint amendment that would allow to increase the budget allocated to the state by 51 million euros, while PP evaluated hundreds of proposals put forward in the same sense. .
Consell, on the other hand, announced that it will hold its general assembly in Alicante on the 18th in support of the allegations.
