The Invincible is a story driven walking simulator inspired by the novel Invincible by Stanislaw Lem. To add replay value, the developers introduced several endings. This guide explains all endings currently reachable and the conditions that lead to them.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

Note: The endings listed below reflect what could be achieved during playthroughs. Some endings might not be accessible yet. The guide will be updated as new information becomes available. Readers can share discoveries in the comments.

What are the endings in The Invincible?

At the start it is crucial to understand that many endings hinge on a sequence of decisions made along the way. The most influential choices are:

  • Choose between heading to the evacuation zone or the alliance base. If the evacuation point is reached after leaving the city, the cricket is damaged and the ship cannot orbit Earth in the final chapter.
  • Decide whether to take the bottle of flies or leave it on the conveyor belt. After gathering the container, a final evacuation choice exists: leave the flies behind or launch them into orbit.
  • Be truthful with Rohitra or tell a lie. When the man catches Jasnah for the first time, several forks appear. Lying can prevent success in persuading him not to launch missiles.
  • Take a syringe with sleeping pills or leave it untouched. While exploring Condor’s living quarters, a syringe with sleeping pills can be found. It helps if there is no agreement to destroy the front sights but Rohitra remains unconvinced about not launching missiles.

How to achieve the true ending “Invincible”

This ending occurs when a plan to use nuclear warheads at gunpoint is stopped and the crew holds out until reinforcements arrive.

  • Be honest with Rohitra during the cave dialogue.
  • Challenge the man’s beliefs and emphasize that flies are a product of necroevolution.
  • Convince Rohitra not to deploy nuclear weapons.

After this, the player can choose to escape to the Dragonfly using the lander or stay with crew members until the Invincible shuttle arrives. The latter is the definitive ending.

To reach this ending, confirm in the final talk with Novik a decision to wait for help. If Rohitra suggests returning to the nest, agree to stay and wait for the Invincible.

Don’t allow nuclear weapons to be used and go to the nest (good ending)

The steps are nearly the same as for the previous ending:

  • Midway through the journey, if a research load with flies is found, take the flasks with you and avoid choosing to leave the flies behind.
  • Be honest with Rohitra in the cave dialogue.
  • Argue against Rohitra’s beliefs and explain that necroevolution explains the flies’ origin.
  • Convince Rohitra not to use nuclear weapons.

Right after the elevator scene, a conversation with Novak is possible. If the player says they are going to the Dragonfly, a different ending can unfold. If they choose to stay and later place Rohitra in a long term recovery room, they can declare the need to reach the Hive.

Do not allow nuclear weapons to be used and stay (good ending)

  • Along the route to the bridge, inspect the cells and the medical block where a syringe with sleeping pills can be found.
  • Take the syringe with sleeping pills.
  • Avoid being honest with Rohitra.
  • Do not try to persuade him or take his side during the dialogue.

If Rohitra is kept from danger, the final moment has the player waiting for the Invincible. The scene ends with Rohitra regaining clarity and Jasnah’s fate remaining unresolved, as the credits roll before revealing further answers.

Now the player can evacuate or wait for the Invincible to arrive, unlocking additional outcomes depending on the final choices.

Prevent the use of nuclear weapons and evacuate (bad ending)

The conditions mirror the previous good ending, with one key difference. In a conversation with Novik, selecting Evacuate leads to a different path:

  • Leave the diary with Rohitra.
  • Head to the landing site.

The post credits experience is not altered by these choices; there is no extra cutscene or comic material tied to this outcome.

Allow nuclear weapons to be used and evacuate (bad ending)

This ending can occur if the alliance base is reached quickly, skipping the evacuation route. It is possible to explain necroevolution to Rohitra and still agree with his beliefs. In this case the installation can be activated and the red button pressed, triggering a nuclear launch.

A short sequence reveals that flies cannot be destroyed and nanobots proliferate. Rohitra pursues his party members; take the elevator to the top floor. An escape pod waits there. Depart without waiting for others, seal the airlock, and depart.

Allow nuclear weapons to be used and die (bad ending)

To reach this ending, agree with Rohitra and launch a nuclear strike on the flies. Open the access to the landing platform, ascend, and do not operate the airlock. Novik asks to wait for others. After a period, the swarm overwhelms and Jasnah collapses and dies.

Go to the evacuation zone, launch a nuclear attack and die (bad ending)

This ending happens if Jasnah cannot evacuate the Condor shuttle because the Cricket has been damaged during landing. In the middle of the game, head to the evacuation zone as Novik instructs rather than heading to the alliance base.

In the final chapter, choosing to ally with Rohitra or skip sleeping pills and inject him to trigger a nuclear attack results in the swarm reaching the Condor station and breaching through a broken porthole. The heroes die.

Evacuate and pick up flies

During an mid game evacuation, leaving the bottle of flies behind offers a choice: take the container or leave it on the planet. Taking the flies may bring negative consequences since nanobots multiply quickly and sunlight fuels their function. On the flip side, researching these creatures could help restore the memories of the injured scientists on Regis III.

Evacuate and release flies

If the bottle of flies was not discarded in the middle of the game, it can still be disposed of in the escape ending. This is often the best path, but according to Jasnah, restoring memory and brain function of the injured colleagues without research materials is impossible.

Additional endings may appear as new details emerge in the game world.
