Stuntfest: THQ Nordic Unveils a New Racing Experience
<p THQ Nordic has officially revealed Stuntfest, a fresh racing title that channels the chaos of FlatOut and the spectacle of railway-themed mayhem. While details first surfaced in March, early rumors linked the project to Bugbear, with Pow Wow Entertainment also reporting involvement.
<p The game centers on a festival environment that doubles as a playground for all kinds of high-octane actions. Players can engage in classic races and demolition derbies, but Stuntfest broadens the thrill with gliding flights that let competitors soar above the track. The developers lean into the core ethos of FlatOut, adding airborne stunts where a driver or passenger is launched into the air for strategic scoring and spectacle.
In addition to the racing action, players have opportunities to customize both their avatars and vehicles. The ride roster appears to include buggies, rugged pickups, and fast sports cars, offering a range of tuning and cosmetic options to suit different play styles.
Stuntfest is scheduled to release in 2022, with PC as the initial platform in the current plan.
