HypeTrain Digital has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for its open world survival sim, Outbreak Island, which will also weave in detective mechanics.
In the game’s tale, mysterious radiation has driven the residents of Erlsen Island into a state of panic. Authorities quarantined the region and labeled the event an incident, sealing off contact with the outside world.
The central figure is Detective Howard Chapman, who arrives on the island to unravel the origins of a baffling disaster. As the investigation deepens, he discovers that turning back is no longer an option. The story follows his efforts to uncover the truth while navigating a world overrun by mutants and escalating peril.
Players will experience a blend of action and stealth as they guide the investigator through the environment. Throughout the journey, the hero must resist slipping into madness and becoming another threat within the mutated landscape.
Outbreak Island is slated for release in the third quarter of 2022, and there is a Steam page available for prospective players to explore further.
