A week after its initial release, December 8 marks the first seasonal update for World War 3, bringing new ground to explore and fresh equipment for the South Korean and Chinese militaries. The patch expands the battlefield with terrains like China’s Gobi Desert and the Korean Demilitarized Zone, offering players new environments to master and employ in combat scenarios.
Named Operation Redline, the update unveils the game’s first global operation. This deployment layers in large-scale events across the theaters of World War 3, promising new weapons, maps, vehicles, and modes. Players can expect three additional substantial updates to follow within the year, each expanding the strategic options and content available in the game.
In Operation Redline, the Team Battle mode lands in the Gobi Desert, where squads contend in an ancient temple setting. The Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea introduces a Tactical Operations mode, requiring teams to coordinate infantry, equipment, heavy weapons, and assorted military assets to secure objectives.
The update also brings new operator schemes and additional weapons, including the South Korean K2C1 assault rifle and the Chinese QBZ-95. Other additions include a Chinese ZTZ-99 tank, a South Korean K21 infantry fighting vehicle, and the IMUGI drone, broadening the tactical choices available on the frontline.
