Primal Game Studio has released a fresh trailer for Mandragora, the upcoming action-RPG now running a Kickstarter crowd funding campaign. In the clip, fans get new gameplay sequences that hint at the game’s dynamic combat and wider world.
The footage spotlights the main party clashing with a roster of foes, including shambling zombies, armored knights, a prowling werewolf, and a towering dragon, all depicted with the game’s distinctive side-scrolling perspective.
On the funding front, Mandragora supporters have already surpassed the 193,000 dollar mark, which translates to about 12 million rubles. This milestone guarantees the addition of an illustrated bestiary that details in-game creatures and their lore. If the campaign reaches 220,000 dollars, roughly 13.6 million rubles, players will unlock a two-handed sword capable of cleaving foes in half. With eight days remaining, momentum remains strong.
Mandragora is described as a fantasy role-playing game viewed from a side-scroller vantage, where bold heroes battle monstrous threats to protect their community. The project promises soulful elements and a nonlinear narrative, a storytelling approach guided by Brian Mitsoda, known for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines.
Screenshots from Mandragora can be explored within the project’s media gallery.
The game is planned for a broad launch next year across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. A Steam presence is noted, and chatter online mentions a female figure inspired by Lucy from Cyberpunk Edgerunners, created by the ABsinthe studio.
