LEGO Fortnite places players in a Survival-inspired take on Battle Royale, with a vibe reminiscent of sandbox worlds. As explorers move through the open map, a glider becomes a crucial tool to speed travel and manage drops. This guide walks through the steps to craft and use a glider, keeping the original intent intact while making the instructions clearer and more current for players in North America and Canada alike.

How to open a glider blueprint
Upgrading the workbench to a rare tier is the first step, followed by crafting a spinning wheel and a loom.
For the spinning wheel you will need:
- Shelves (eight pieces);
- Wood (five pieces);
- Wooden core (five pieces);
- Wolf’s claw (five pieces).
When processing wood at a sawmill, wood cores and planks are produced. Claws are dropped by wolves living in forests and grasslands.
To craft a loom you will need:
- Flexible wood (nine pieces);
- Flexible wooden core (eight pieces);
- Sand dewclaws (six pieces).
Flexible tree core can be made from flexible wood, which is obtained from cacti in the Dry Valley. Wolves in the area must be defeated to obtain claws.
Please note that chopping cacti requires a rare pickaxe, a detail covered in a separate guide.
How to make a glider
After assembling the workbench, spinning wheel, and loom, the glider can be sewn together. The components needed are:
- Flexible wood (eight pieces);
- Wool thread (four pieces);
- Silk thread (four pieces).
Earlier notes mention using flexible wood.
Silk is harvested from spiders found in meadows. Wool comes from sheep, and thread is produced on a spinning wheel.
How to use the glider
Transfer the glider to the quick access panel. When ready, press the corresponding button to deploy it.
A glider enables a safer descent from high elevations and allows forward travel for a distance. Using a glider consumes stamina; once stamina is depleted, a fall will occur. To prevent this, wait for stamina to fully restore before leaping from a height.
