Epic Games Store Freebie: Encased-Style Sci-Fi RPG from Dark Crystal Games

The Epic Games Store is offering a tactical RPG today from the Russian studio Dark Crystal Games. It evokes classic Fallout-style vibes with a sci-fi twist set in a richly imagined world.

Story events unfold in an alternate 1970s, where a massive anomalous object called the Dome has been unearthed in the desert, shrouding its depths in mystery. The player guides the protagonist who must align with one of several factions and work to unravel the Dome’s secrets.

The game itself is available for acquisition today, with the promotion ending tomorrow, December 24, before 7pm Moscow time. Once the window closes, a new title takes its place. Players outside Russia and Belarus may encounter access hurdles requiring a VPN or a new account registered in another country of residence to claim the game.

All screens and artwork from Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG are accessible within the collection.

Updates on freebies and discounts for games can be followed in the dedicated Telegram channel. Early concept imagery of the Titan RTX Ada has leaked, suggesting a design nearly twice as thick as the RTX 4090.
