In a believable WWII shooter, recruits were shown using missile tanks and other military hardware in the newly released trailer.
Gaijin Entertainment and Darkflow Software announced a substantial update for the multiplayer shooter Enlisted, titled Burning Sky. The update introduces fresh military gear, including the BM-8-24 Katyusha, the Calliope variant of the T-34, and the Panzerwerfer 42 rocket tanks, capable of turning enemy manpower positions into blazing infernos. The Burning Sky release also adds new firearms such as the ABC-36 and the StG-44, along with the M91/30 and Kar98k Mosin rifles, plus additional weapons.
New weather effects and a fresh Confrontation mode are part of the update. In Confrontation, teams strive to hold elevated positions atop the battlefield as the frontline shifts dynamically. Players craft strategies based on their preferred approach, whether defending with cool calculation or delivering powerful, decisive shocks to the opposition. The developers note that Burning Sky brings new missions across all campaigns, expanding the scope and challenge for players.
Also available is a mission editor that lets players alter any location in the game. Landforms can be rewritten, objects added or removed, and more changes can be made to tailor experiences. Weather effects have been enhanced, allowing battles to unfold in snowstorms, sandstorms, or thunderstorms. Advancements in technology have amplified the realism of these weather events, and new time-of-day options let battles unfold at moments such as sunset.
Enlisted remains free-to-play and is accessible on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
