Engine Evolution 2022: A Free-to-Play Multiplayer Racing Experience
Engine Evolution 2022 arrives as a free-to-play racing game that invites players to add it to their library and compete without an upfront purchase, with optional in-game purchases available to customize the experience.
In a candid note, the developer from Charles University in Prague explains that the project was largely created during study sessions. The creator, Petr Simunek, shares pride in the solo effort and his ambition to capture 150 years of racing history within a single title.
Engine Evolution 2022 is presented as a multiplayer racing title inspired by the core idea of World of Tanks, but the battles pit vehicles instead of armor. Players take part in competitions across multiple transport modes, including automobiles and motorcycles, delivering a varied racing experience.
A race can involve up to 12 competitors, with the victor earning experience points and credits. These rewards are used to unlock upgrades and to expand the roster of available vehicles for future events.
The game features a broad roster of vehicles representing different eras, more than two dozen tracks inspired by real-world circuits, 1000 upgrade options for cars and motorcycles, ten distinct biomes, and a robust customization system that lets players tailor both the vehicle and the rider appearance.
Engine Evolution 2022 can be added to a Steam library, and it marks the third installment in the series. Earlier titles, Engine Evolution 2020 and Engine Evolution 2021, are also available at no initial cost, continuing the free-to-play tradition.
Fans can keep an eye on discounts and freebies through a dedicated Telegram channel, ensuring players never miss a limited-time offer. A gallery showcasing all screenshots from Engine Evolution 2022 is available for fans who want to preview the action before jumping in.
