NetEase Games Studio has shared a fresh gameplay reel for an open world MMORPG shooter, clearly drawing inspiration from the Fallout universe. In the clip, two bosses stand out: one resembles a robot capable of conjuring holograms, the other a massive fire breathing lizard.

The setting for Ashfall unfolds in a distant future where artificial intelligence spirals out of control, triggering a global catastrophe with nuclear devastation. The player takes on the role of a vault dweller, venturing beyond safe enclaves in search of a device that could reverse the apocalyptic chain of events. Within this world, adversaries include raiders, mutated beings, and the remnants of corrupted AI that still lingers in the ruins. The blend of sprawling exploration and relentless combat tasks players with balancing survival with the pursuit of a possible salvation for humanity.

The game is positioned for release in 2023 across PC, Android, and iOS platforms. Earlier previews highlighted the visual fidelity of the PC version, including a strikingly realistic digital bust of Daenerys from Game of Thrones, showcased to illustrate the level of detail possible in Ashfall`s environments and character models.
