Gaijin Entertainment has unveiled Aces of Thunder, a premium online game rooted in War Thunder for PlayStation VR2. The project has no official release date yet, but a trailer and a set of screenshots are already available for fans to preview the experience.
The game concentrates on aerial combat and is designed for first-person play. With a VR headset and motion controllers, players are invited to immerse themselves in the pilot’s seat, aiming to simulate real-life aircraft operation as closely as possible and to manipulate the aircraft with natural hand movements.
Aces of Thunder requires payment, but every aircraft is unlocked from the start. At launch, the lineup will feature World War II-era planes such as the P-51 Mustang and the Spitfire, with subsequent updates planned to broaden the fleet with additional vehicles.
Earlier, War Thunder introduced the Skyguards update, bringing new tanks, planes and more to the game.
