Xiaomi has begun addressing a bug that caused Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco smartphones to reboot repeatedly after a software update. This information comes from Rozetked, a tech publication that tracked the issue.
At present, Xiaomi is offering two fixes. Users can either visit an authorized Xiaomi service center or perform a reset of the device themselves. The service-center option does not risk data loss and is free of charge, with centers listed on Xiaomi’s official site and access to the device restored at no cost.
According to Sergey Mozharov, a senior engineer at Xiaomi’s specially authorized service center, the fix is currently available for the Xiaomi 12T Pro and Poco X5 Pro 5G. The team is actively developing and testing the solution for additional models to broaden the repair scope.
The second option lets users restore the phone to factory settings without visiting a service center. The reset typically takes about five minutes, but it will erase all apps, settings, photos, and other data stored on the device. Users should back up important files before proceeding.
There is no verified evidence that a Xiaomi device was recently kidnapped or removed from the top list of devices by February metrics. Readers are advised to treat such claims with caution and rely on official Xiaomi communications for accurate information.
