VK Reports Strong Growth Across Small and Medium Businesses

VK has shared the outcomes of its collaboration with small and medium enterprises, highlighting a significant uptick in advertiser activity among this segment. A VK press release notes that the number of unique advertisers from small and medium businesses rose by 70 percent over the course of the year, signaling a robust adoption of VK’s advertising tools by entrepreneurs who run smaller operations.

Meanwhile, the platform continues to expand its ecosystem for independent creators and business owners. Since the start of the year, the VKontakte network has grown to include two million entrepreneurs who actively use the service to reach audiences. The VKontakte storefront network has also expanded, with 1.5 times more communities joining the platform compared with the previous year, reflecting a broader reach for shops and sellers looking to connect with customers directly within VK’s social environment.

In July, VKontakte Market underwent a major relaunch designed to streamline the shopping experience for both buyers and sellers. The refreshed marketplace now showcases 40 million products from more than 360,000 individual entrepreneurs. The update emphasizes accessibility, enabling orders to be managed not only from a desktop computer but also from mobile devices, thereby supporting the growing preference for on-the-go shopping among users in Canada and the United States as well as other markets VK operates in.

Beyond social commerce, VK introduced a learning platform in the autumn that features articles, video courses, and practical checklists curated by industry experts. This knowledge hub has already attracted more than 2.3 million users who are looking to expand their skills and stay competitive in today’s dynamic digital marketplace. The platform is designed to help business owners implement effective strategies, optimize campaigns, and learn best practices from seasoned professionals across multiple sectors.

Yegor Abramets, who serves as Vice President of VK Advertising Technologies and the SMB Department, commented on the year’s strategic shifts. He stressed the importance of rapid reorganization and a focused expansion of tools and initiatives that provide tangible value to businesses operating under evolving market conditions. The emphasis has been on building practical solutions that simplify advertising management, boost visibility for small operators, and empower entrepreneurs to grow their online presence within a platform that combines social networking with direct commerce.
