VK launches a paid summer internship for students and early-career professionals
<p VK has opened applications for a paid summer internship program aimed at students and recent graduates. The initiative spans more than thirty IT and digital disciplines, including development, analytics, marketing, design, and more. Mentors will include VK employees from both services and product teams, ensuring hands-on guidance throughout the program.
Participants will have the chance to intern within teams across VKontakte, Mail.ru Mail, VK Tech, Zen, VK Play, RuStore, and other VK projects. The program covers multiple IT tracks in parallel, such as analytics, mobile development, front-end and back-end engineering, and development using the Go language. Related specialties are also available, including product design, interface design, marketing, partner relations, and project management. A dedicated track in IT sales offers a structured, multi-month training followed by a six-month internship, as described by VK and reported by VK.
The internship lasts two months, with a standard 40-hour workweek. Throughout the program, interns tackle real business challenges and collaborate on projects under mentor supervision. The exact format depends on the chosen track. Most internships are offered in a hybrid mode, with some positions suitable for remote work while others occur in person at VK offices. In addition to Moscow, opportunities are noted in St. Petersburg and Perm for offline engagements, with locations subject to operational needs and program requirements, as outlined by VK.
Eligibility centers on final-year students and recent graduates who can apply by May 3. Qualified candidates will complete test assignments and interviews, then begin their internship on June 26, with the program running through the end of August. There is also a potential pathway to joining the VK team after successfully finishing the internship, a prospect highlighted in VK communications and reported by VK.
