Virtus.pro, the Russian esports organization, has started a broad casting search for its Dota 2 home discipline, covering majors and The International. The goal is to bring on board a dedicated presenter who will work closely with the Virtus.pro team, offering fans a front-row seat to the daily life and culture of the club’s Dota 2 operations.
According to the club, a Dota 2 devotee who lands the hosting role will receive interviews and work on special projects hosted within Virtus.pro. The selection process is designed to be inclusive: candidates will undergo a sequence of tests published on the official Virtus.pro community page, and fans will have a voice in picking the standout candidate alongside the players themselves.
As part of the screening, hopeful hosts will accompany Virtus.pro players to training camps to shoot video content. Three video pieces will be produced in the final round, with the audience voting to determine which associate will lead Virtus.pro in Dota 2 during the upcoming campaigns.
In other news from the Dota 2 scene, a Russian player from Entity, Ivan Moskalenko, known by the handle Pure, was unable to obtain a United States visa to participate in events abroad. This visa setback has drawn attention to the broader challenges players sometimes face when competing on international stages.
Looking back to The International, the Dota 2 world championship has featured notable moments. In 2021, Team Spirit captured the world title by defeating PSG.LGD in a thrilling 3-2 finale. The victory propelled Team Spirit to prize money exceeding 18 million US dollars, underscoring the scale and prestige of this premier tournament.
