Sony has adjusted the pricing for PlayStation Plus across all tiers in Turkey. The annual Deluxe plan has moved to a new level, with reports stating the price is now set at 10 thousand liras, according to a report from Rosetked.

PlayStation Plus is a subscription service that unlocks online multiplayer, cloud storage, member discounts, monthly game giveaways, and access to a catalog approaching 700 games. The service is offered in three tiers—Essentials, Extras, and Deluxes—each varying by the number of games and features included.

Under the current pricing, PS Plus Essential is available for 1, 3, and 12 months at 175, 440, and 1400 liras respectively, roughly equivalent to 640, 1.6 thousand, and 5.1 thousand rubles. PS Plus Extra is priced at 260, 720, and 2340 liras for 1, 3, and 12 months (about 950, 2.6 thousand, and 8.5 thousand rubles). The top tier, PS Plus Deluxe, now lists 305, 830, and 2740 liras for 1, 3, and 12 months (roughly 1.1 thousand, 3 thousand, and 10 thousand rubles).

Prior to the price change, annual subscriptions stood at 260, 400, and 460 liras for Essentials, Extras, and Deluxes, respectively (around 949, 1.4 thousand, and 1.6 thousand rubles). These prices were among the more affordable options globally, often attracting players from Russia and neighboring regions.

Sony’s Extended Subscription program began in spring 2022 and offers a catalog of hundreds of titles, including exclusive releases and new additions on both the Extra and Deluxe plans. The strategy positions Sony against Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass, which also provides a broad library of games and new releases. A key differentiator cited by observers is that Xbox Game Pass frequently launches many major titles on day one, such as Atomic Heart, Starfield, and STALKER 2 in development pipelines. Historically, the gray market for video games in Russia and nearby regions has reflected broader shifts in official pricing and market access, with parallel pricing influencing consumer choices and perceived value. [Citation: regional market analysis].
