At CES 2023, Showcase Hologram unveiled a modular holographic display system designed to adorn computer chassis. The setup centers on a slender bar fed by LEDs that rotate with a motor. As the bar spins, lighted pixels flash in precise sequences, producing the illusion of an image suspended in space at remarkable speed—a true holographic effect.
The company provides two size options for its holographic displays: a large module and a smaller counterpart. The larger module can cover a substantial portion of a side panel, offering a bold, eye-catching decorative statement. The smaller unit, by contrast, occupies roughly a quarter of the available panel area, delivering a subtler enhancement to the PC’s exterior appearance.
According to Tom’s Hardware, the device is powered via a standard USB Type-A connection. This connectivity makes the holographic display versatile beyond chassis decoration, enabling it to serve as an engaging desktop ornament or a conversational centerpiece on a worktable in addition to its primary aesthetic role.
The product was scheduled to launch in the second or third quarter of 2023. Pricing is set at $149 for the compact display and $199 for the larger model, positioning both options as accessible add-ons for PC builders and enthusiasts seeking distinctive visual flair.
Earlier reporting noted that CES 2023 also featured a creative synthesizer concept paired with drone-powered speakers, illustrating the show’s breadth of experimental audio-visual ideas (socialbites.ca) as observed by industry observers.
