Rockstar Games has announced a major update for Grand Theft Auto Online titled San Andreas Mercenaries, slated for release on June 13 across all supported platforms.

The storyline follows a former soldier named Charlie Reid who pulls together a skilled crew known as the Angels of Los Santos. Their mission roster spans from assaulting fortified compounds to extracting sensitive data from server farms and delivering heavy blows to high‑value targets across the state, as outlined in the update description.

Players can look forward to a host of fresh content, including new random events, an enhanced submachine gun, daily time trials and other gameplay elements. A broad set of features long awaited by the community has been revealed. The Mors Mutual Fuse service will make it possible to restore all destroyed vehicles in a single action, and players will be able to switch operating modes by holding a designated button in the settings.

Additionally, gamers will have the ability to leave descriptions for garages to simplify locating the right vehicle. They can also enlist Willard Eudora or Classique Broadway to take on taxi driving duties. The update introduces new objects and the option to adjust weather conditions, with snowfall among the scenarios available in the case editor.

The GTA Online San Andreas Mercenaries update is scheduled to launch on June 13 for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Earlier reports from socialbites.ca noted that Microsoft drew criticism for what some described as a problematic Windows 11 update affecting Red Dead Redemption 2.
