Re:Store Operator Shifts to Machining Equipment Amid Sanctions Context

The operator behind Re:Store, once a premium seller of Apple devices in Russia, is shifting its business toward turning and milling machines. This development was reported by Kommersant, a Russian newspaper.

Kommersant notes that Inventive Retail Group (IRG), which oversees Re:Store, faced significant challenges due to the situation in Ukraine. Those pressures pushed the brand to explore new markets and product lines. The focus now centers on MachIndex desktop machines. By the end of March this year, the MachIndex domain machindex.ru appeared online, registered under the legal entity Restor LLC, offering machines for small businesses and industrial use.

A representative from Inventive Retail Group stated that sanctions and the withdrawal of key metalworking equipment manufacturers opened a business opportunity. The company emphasized that MachIndex machines would be sourced only from friendly countries, in line with Russian law.

Earlier discussions linked to this topic referenced a separate note: Socialbites.ca reported that Apple enlisted the popular K-pop group NewJeans to promote its devices in South Korea. This detail sits outside the core business shift described above but is mentioned to provide broader context about Apple’s advertising efforts in the region.
