PlayStation VR headsets have again moved into the spotlight at DNS electronics outlets. In 2021, reports noted the device carried a price tag of 23 thousand rubles, and by September 2022 the price had climbed to about 40 thousand rubles.
Observers point out that the store has not detailed how the PS VR units arrived on shelves. The prevailing view among editors is that these units may have originated from the French market or another French speaking region, entering the country through parallel import channels.
Additionally, listings on Yandex.Market show Sony’s virtual reality headset priced between 29 and 37 thousand rubles, depending on the seller and configuration.
Looking ahead, Sony announced plans for an updated PS VR 2 headset designed to pair with the PlayStation 5 system. The new model is expected to feature dual displays with resolutions of 2000 by 2400 pixels per eye and a target refresh rate of 120 Hz. As of now, official pricing for the updated headset has not been released.
Earlier reports from socialmedia outlets noted that Sony had introduced camouflage styled headphones and replacement panels for the PlayStation 5, signaling ongoing accessory development alongside the core headset lineup.
