Finalists will get to shoot pilot episodes under the mentorship of top professionals from Russia’s film industry. The project World of Series invites audiences to explore the history of Russian cinema through its world of stories.
Prostor is now accepting participants for the Web Thread segment, a course focused on teaching the craft of crafting compelling threads. Throughout the program, students will collaborate directly with screenwriters and directors. The most promising ideas and the finalists will have the chance to produce pilot episodes of their projects together with seasoned experts.
Through the World of TV Series initiative in VK Clips, viewers can feel the pulse of Russian serials. Short vertical videos feature acclaimed writers, producers and directors who guide audiences through the storytelling process and share fascinating facts from Russia’s film heritage, making the world of cinema come alive in a new format [citation: VK Prostor].
As part of the research process, the Prostor team uncovered that 95% of viewers prefer watching movies at home. More than half of those surveyed enjoy TV series on a smartphone or tablet, while roughly 40% tune in via a computer.
