PlayStation has joined forces with the renowned Italian pasta maker Pasta Garofalo to launch a limited-edition pasta collection for gamers named Play Your Pasta. This collaboration surfaced through a promotional clip shared by Pasta Garofalo on its official YouTube channel, as reported by PSX Extreme.
The Play Your Pasta assortment features dough shapes inspired by the PlayStation brand, offered in circles, squares, triangles, and crosses. Each shape mirrors a familiar gaming symbol and is visible on the transparent packaging that surrounds the dough, along with the iconic PlayStation emblem.
According to PSX Extreme, the Play Your Pasta line is currently available exclusively in Europe. A 500-gram package is priced at roughly 1.5 to 2 euros, which at the exchange rate from mid-2023 translated to about 150 to 200 rubles. This pricing places the product within a niche segment blending tribute culture with everyday cooking, appealing to fans who enjoy limited-edition gaming merchandise.
Pasta Garofalo traces its roots back to 1789, cementing a long-standing legacy in Italian pasta-making. Beyond pasta, the company also produces chips, gnocchi, flour, and butter, demonstrating a diversified range that supports a traditional craft with modern distribution. The business employs around two hundred people and, by the end of 2020, reported an estimated turnover of approximately 220 million euros, underscoring its substantial presence in the European food market and its capacity to partner on innovative brand initiatives.
