Pavel Durov and His Dubai Residence on Palm Jumeirah

Pavel Durov, the founder and chief of the Telegram messaging platform, relocated to the United Arab Emirates several years ago. Current reports describe him living in a luxury villa on Palm Jumeirah, a man-made archipelago shaped like a palm, in Dubai. This information comes from a widely cited American publication that references unnamed sources.

The villa is reported to command a yearly rental around one million dollars. The property is said to feature five bedrooms and spans roughly 1,400 square meters, underscoring the scale of the residence. Forbes highlighted the rental as among the most expensive on Palm Jumeirah. A representative for Durov informed the magazine that the entrepreneur has been changing his place of residence within Dubai since his arrival in 2017.

According to the representative, the decision to lease a home near Telegram’s main office in the Dubai Media City free zone was deliberate. Durov did not comment on Forbes’ claims regarding his move to Palm Jumeirah.

Palm Jumeirah itself is a unique, artificial cluster of islands designed to resemble a palm tree when viewed from above. Durov, born in Russia, left the country in 2014 and has resided in the UAE since that time. His citizenship portfolio includes Saint Kitts and Nevis, France, and the United Arab Emirates, alongside a Russian passport.

Notes published by a former plastic surgeon mention transactions related to Pavel Durov, adding another layer to the profile of the entrepreneur and his international footprint.
