Ozon has unveiled a dedicated operating system for smart TVs, called Ozon TV, a development shared with its market communications team. The OS will come pre-installed on Hartens branded televisions, the company’s own lineup, and was created in collaboration with VK and the Russian TV manufacturer Kvant.

Within the Ozon VK partnership, Ozon TV will feature a suite of built‑in services. Among them is the RuStore app store already on the device, and the Marusya voice assistant. Beyond basic TV control, Marusya can provide weather updates, deliver headlines, and play music. Additional services such as VK Video and VK Play will also be accessible on Hartens TVs.

Ozon has also released a native shopping app for smart TVs. Ozon TV positions itself as a “marketplace on the couch,” offering personalized product suggestions powered by its recommendation engine. A product QR code appears on screen, allowing users to jump to the mobile app or the website to place an order.

A test batch of Hartens televisions is already on the market, with plans to deliver roughly 25,000 devices by year‑end.

In related tech news, Motorola recently showcased a TV capable of displaying one billion colors.
